Cola Beach House

This light, airy home with ca. 100 sq. m of floor space is situated only 300 m from one of the most delightful unspoilt beaches on the Garden Route, offering wonderful views over the dunes and fynbos.

 

 

The House

The spacious living area with its open-plan kitchen leads directly via the pool and the terrace into the rear garden. Built in 2016, the house is practically and tastefully designed and furnished. The bedroom get a fine bathroom with bathtub and floor-level shower, and there is a separate WC for visitors.
The living area combines an open-plan kitchen and dining area with the living area. The kitchen is very well equipped with a separate scullery, and offers direct access to the garage. The covered terrace has its own brick-built South African-style barbecue, and the view over the dunes affords magnificent sunsets accompanied by the gentle murmuring of the waves.
Al over the year you can enjoy the privat heated swimming pool (10 x 3 m, 1.5 m deep). The house is suitable for up to four persons, and offers full Wi-Fi, a 42-inch flat screen TV and a hi-fi centre with Bluetooth functionality. Solar collectors were installed together with a 4 KW power storage unit, which supplies the house with sufficient energy in the event of the unfortunately frequent power cuts.
Cola Beach, wide, clean and largely deserted, is quickly reached, and a mile-long walk or drive along the beach road brings you to the almost-enclosed Sedgefield estuary, or Lagoon, popular for family bathing with its safe, shallow waters. Here also is situated the popular hotel-restaurant, "Pili Pili", a Mecca for surfers, backpackers and holidaymakers.
Sedgefield is the very place to unwind, and justly calls itself "Slow Town", an insider tip nestled between the better-known resorts of Wilderness and Knysna.
You have access to the whole house and its private grounds, with fenced perimeter and electrically operated gated drive-in. It is situated in quiet area of private residential and holiday homes, with pleasant neighbours.
Local activities: Beach walks, surfing, angling and other water sports alongside the Lagoon and seashore, golf (10 courses are reachable within 30 to 50 minuts drive), and the Farmers Saturday Market and Mosaic Village for fresh farm produce and local arts and crafts.

We are a German couple who have known and loved South Africa and the Garden Route for several years and have got to know many great guest homes and their owners, which is why we're now returning the compliment and making our home available to you.
